Dibutylone
Dibutylone, also known as bk-DMBDB, is a laboratory-made synthetic cathinone with stimulant properties. It belongs to the same broad class of new psychoactive substances sometimes marketed as “bath salts,” “ecstasy,” or other familiar drugs, despite having different and unpredictable effects.
Dibutylone affects chemical signalling within the brain, particularly systems associated with dopamine and norepinephrine. Research indicates that it can produce stimulant-like behavioural effects and has demonstrated addictive potential in laboratory studies.
