Concerta is used to treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children aged 6 years. The treatment must be under the guidance of a specialist in behavioral disorders of children. Your doctor should know the complete history and evaluation of the child and patient. Do not take Concerta if any patient takes alcohol. If you take a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor within the last 14 days, avoid taking Concerta 27 mg. The expiry date (month and year) printed on the pack is dangerous to use it. If you plan a baby or become pregnant you must ask your doctor to take this medication. The breastfeeding mother should not take it because the active ingredient in Concerta passes into breast milk and your baby sucks the milk. There is a possibility that your baby may be affected. You should discuss with your doctor the risks and benefits of the medication.
The Concentra is available in tablet forms in different strengths such as Concerta 18 mg, Concerta 27 mg, and Concerta 54 mg.
